  • If the domain comes to be registeredDNS changes should be visible under 1 to 2 hours.
  • If the domain has been registered for several days, the propagation time of the NS can vary between 1 and 48 hoursdepending on the NS precedents.

Checking that the information has been taken into account

To check that the changes have been taken into account, you can use a WHOIS which displays public information related to your domain. For example : https://www.whois.com/whois/

NB OVH: The OVH interface may take some time to refresh. To make sure it's taken into account, feel free to use the refresh button or visit "Recent tasks". The change generally takes 15 to 30 minutes.

If the domain has just been registered, you should be able to visit it by landing on the new server within 1 to 2 hours. If the domain was registered several days ago, you'll need to wait 4 to 48 hours for it to take effect (depending on how long your previous NS expires).

To check that the change has actually been taken into account, you can use a WHOIS service that shows the public info for any domain name. For example : https://www.whois.com/whois/
