Unable to connect to WordPress

Attention If you suspect that your password has changed without your intervention, it is necessary to check the integrity of your site (files, users present in the database) using the various tools available (file browser in your control panel or FTP, "Databases" section in your control panel).

Forgotten WordPress password procedure

If your site has been configured to send SMTP e-mails, you can use the forgotten password procedure. In order for your site to be able to send e-mails, you must have configured SMTP sending correctly beforehand.

Reset via Plesk's WordPress Toolkit

  • Go to your Plesk control panel
  • Under your domain, click on your WordPress site name or the WordPress icon.
  • Next to "Administrator", click on "[Configuration]".
  • Change your password.

Reset via phpMyAdmin

  • Go to your Plesk control panel
  • Under your domain, click on "Databases", then on phpMyAdmin
  • Find the table ending with _users, click on it
  • Make sure there are no fraudulent users, then next to your admin user, click on "Edit".
  • In the "user_pass" field, select the "MD5" function, enter your password, then click on "Go".
